Critical Mass Productions is an independent television production company based in Auckland, New Zealand, specialising in producing original, unscripted reality formats.

Hamish has produced top-rating shows that have been licensed worldwide for Discovery, NBC, Universal and Sky Originals. Using that experience and while keeping a keen eye on global media trends, Critical Mass Productions has been established to be a local leader in embracing the exciting opportunities of the new streaming age, without overlooking the place of traditional linear television.

Hamish Dodd

One of the most recognisable faces on the small screen in New Zealand, Hamish Dodd has moved from in front of the camera to behind, producing and directing the former All Blacks’ stars Israel Dagg and Stephen Donald in Izzy & Beaver’s French Connection (2023) as well as their earlier Clubhouse Rescue (2022).
As a presenter, Hamish has starred in over a dozen hit shows stretching back to the late 90s, including Dream Home Dilemma, The 100 Day Bach, The Bach That JK Built, Ground Force, 100 Day Renovation and My House My Castle. The latter ran for an entire decade from 1999-2009.
A popular media personality and a qualified interior designer, Hamish has also spent 15-years hosting home-renovation themed radio shows like The Design And Build Show, The DIY Experts and The Home And Garden Show.

Bridgid Davis
Tim Roxborogh has 25-years broadcasting experience working across radio and TV, as well as being one of New Zealand’s most published travel and music writers with over 400 articles to his name. Those articles have appeared everywhere from the New Zealand Herald, to Listener, Woman’s Day, Let’s Travel, M2 and Concrete Playground.
His voice can be heard weekly on New Zealand’s number one radio station, Newstalk ZB, and his TV credits as a presenter include appearances on TVNZ 1’s Breakfast and Seven Sharp programs, cricket commentary for Sky Sport and co-hosting his own travel series Uncharted (2021).
As an Associate Producer and Senior Writer and Researcher, in 2023 Tim crafted the itineraries for Izzy & Beaver’s French Connection.
Known for his encyclopaedic knowledge of popular music, Tim worked as an advisor on the 6x Emmy-nominated documentary Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart (2020) as well as the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC.
Bridgid has over 20 years experience post directing primetime reality television shows in New Zealand. These include Club House Rescue, The Apprentice, Border Patrol, Highway Patrol, Motorway Patrol, Coast Watch, New Zealand's Top Model. Many of these shows also sold world-wide.

With a strong sense of what makes a compelling story and an eye for spotting great talent. Bridgid is a passionate story-teller with a background in reality, popular factual and documentary. Including the long running Neighbourhood series.

She comes from a background in the early 2000's producing hit home makeover series including My House My Castle, Ground force, Mitre 10 DIY Rescue, Changing Rooms. This gives her a creative edge when dealing with sponsorship integration and client relationships.
